Lounge

The lounge is full of character and features a log burner, wooden floorboards, and beamed ceilings. There is ample seating for 10 people. There is a 42” LCD TV with a BT You View box which provides a range of freeview channels and recording facilities, and for your entertainment there is also a DVD player with an extensive film library plus plenty of books and games. A Bluetooth speaker lets you play your music wirelessly from your iPad, iPhone and any other Bluetooth enabled device.

Dining room

Dine in style in this beautiful room with its original oak beams. The floor is laid with slate flags warmed by underfloor heating. A large oak dining table provides seating for up to 10 people.

Kitchen

The farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped to cater for 10 or more people It has the latest electric range-style four oven cooker and five plate induction hob. There is a large integrated larder fridge, dishwasher, microwave, De Longhi coffee maker plus plenty of crockery, cooking equipment and utensils.

Bedroom 3

Kingsize en-suite room on the first floor. Includes the original feature fireplace, wooden floors and views over the village square with picture window and view of the Priory and Hampsfell beyond. This room also has an en suite shower cubicle, washbasin and WC.

The lovely private walled garden to the rear offers a tranquil and secure space for children or dogs. There is outdoor seating with a table and barbecue – perfect for relaxed al fresco dining.

Linen

Luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen, soft fluffy white towels are provided (one hand and one bath size towel per person) along with bathrobes and complimentary toiletries.

There are hairdryers supplied in all five bedrooms.

Children

Ford House has no age restriction on guests, there is a high chair and cot for one infant. There is a selection of children’s games, books, films and toys.

Pets

Ford House accepts up to two well behaved pets. There is a £15 charge per week/part week for each pet. Pets are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture.

Heating

Ford House is warmed with underfloor heating on the ground floor and thermostatically controlled radiators elsewhere. There is a log burner in the sitting room so guests can enjoy a real fire and a starter basket of logs is included.

Catering

Catering service is available at an extra cost for you and your party for a celebratory dinner or a fully catered option. Please enquire when booking.

Entertainment

Ford House has two flat-screen TVs including a widescreen 42 inch LCD TV with BT You View and a DVD player in the lounge. There is an extensive film library, plenty of books, games, a CD Hi-Fi system and bluetooth wireless speaker system.

Parking

You can unload right by the front door. There are free public parking spaces on the edge of the village. There is also parking in the large racecourse car park only 200 metres away with daily or weekly parking rates available.

Availability and Booking

Please note: Our usual changeover days are Monday's and Fridays.
A 4 night stay can be booked starting on a Monday, a 3 or 7 night stay can be booked starting on a Friday. Rates can be checked here.
